The Procedure for Chin or Cheek Implants

Preparation: On the day of the procedure, you will receive anesthesia to ensure a comfortable and pain-free experience. Depending on the complexity, either local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia may be used.
Implant Placement
Chin Implants: Your surgeon will make a small incision inside the mouth, under the chin, or along the gum line. The implant, usually made of silicone or a biocompatible material, is then positioned in front of the jawbone. Once in place, the incision is closed with sutures.
Cheek Implants: Incisions are typically made inside the mouth or under the lower eyelid. Your surgeon carefully positions the implant over the cheekbone area. After ensuring proper placement and symmetry, the incisions are closed.
Recovery: Post-procedure, you may experience some swelling and discomfort. Most patients can resume normal activities within a week, although it’s important to follow the surgeon’s post-operative care instructions for optimal results.
