Dermal Fillers & Lip Filler in Boise & Meridian, ID

Restore Volume With Dermal Fillers

As we age, the face gradually loses volume. Cheeks flatten, folds deepen around the nose and mouth, and lips can become thinner. Dermal fillers are injectable gels that replace that lost volume beneath the skin, smoothing lines and restoring a fuller, more youthful shape without surgery.

At Alpine Facial Cosmetic Surgery, our facial cosmetic team understands the structure of the face in detail, which helps us place filler precisely for balanced, natural-looking results. Contact us to schedule a consultation at our Boise or Meridian office.

What Can Dermal Fillers Treat?

Dermal fillers can be used in several areas of the face, including:

  • Lips: add volume, define the lip border, and improve symmetry
  • Cheeks: restore lift and fullness to flat or hollow cheeks
  • Smile lines: soften the folds that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds)
  • Marionette lines: soften lines that run down from the corners of the mouth
  • Chin and jawline: improve definition and facial balance

Lip Filler

Lip filler is one of the most requested filler treatments. It can add subtle volume, define the shape of your lips, or smooth fine vertical lines around the mouth. Our goal is a natural look that suits your face, never an overdone result. Your provider will talk through your goals and recommend an amount and technique that fits your features.

What to Expect During Treatment

Your treatment begins with a consultation to discuss your goals and review your medical history. Filler is injected through a fine needle or cannula, and many products contain a local anesthetic for comfort. A typical session takes about 30 minutes to an hour, and results are visible right away.

Mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising is common, especially with lip filler, and usually settles within a few days. Most patients return to their normal routine the same day.

Fillers, Botox, or Surgery?

Fillers restore volume, while Botox relaxes the muscles that cause expression lines, and the two are often combined. When sagging skin is the main concern, a facelift or permanent chin and cheek implants may be a better long-term option. Our surgeons can help you compare all of your options.

Nicole

Garden Valley

"Hi, I'm Nicole. I live in Garden Valley, Idaho, and I came to Alpine Surgical Arts for a chin implant. It's a very calm feeling in this office. They're all very welcoming, and very happy and positive. The doctors here at Alpine Surgical Arts are friendly, and they seem to just love what they do, and very charismatic about what they do and helping people feel great. The procedure itself went very smooth. I was surprised at how quickly I was able to get back to normal life and feel confident and excited with my new look. My overall experience with Dr. Haghighi and his team has been so great. I would highly recommend Alpine Surgical Arts to all my friends in Garden Valley."
Paula testimonial photo
"Hi. My name is Paula, and I'm from Boise, and I've come to this practice for Blephs, Botox, and also a facelift. The doctors here are wonderful. They are up on all of the latest techniques, and they give good natural results, and that's what I like the most. They have a very consistent, professional, friendly staff. I mean, I feel like they're just part of a family. All of my procedures have gone really well here, and I've had really great recoveries and better results than I even thought I would have. I just feel sort of brighter and lighter with some procedures. For me, it was the right choice, and this is the right practice. I've referred many patients to Alpine Surgical Arts, and they are also having really good experiences."

Dermal Filler FAQs

How long do dermal fillers last?
Depending on the product and treatment area, dermal filler results generally last from about six months to more than a year. Lip filler tends to wear off sooner than filler in the cheeks because the lips move constantly.
Does lip filler hurt?
Most fillers contain a local anesthetic, and numbing cream can be applied before treatment. Most patients describe the injections as mild pressure or brief stinging.
How long does swelling last after lip filler?
Swelling is usually most noticeable for the first one to three days and typically settles within about a week. Your final result is easiest to judge after swelling has gone down.
Can dermal fillers be reversed?
Hyaluronic acid fillers, the most common type, can be dissolved with an enzyme if needed. Your provider will explain the type of filler recommended for you.
What is the difference between dermal fillers and facial implants?
Fillers are temporary and gradually absorbed by the body, while chin and cheek implants are a long-lasting surgical option for adding structure to the face.
